POPPUCK

Poppuck is a magnetic skatepark for your thumbs. This game was invented by the founder of Popsockets in collaboration with our Industrial Design Team. It’s a magnetic tray that allows players to stack magnetic pucks on it, but even more engaging are the infinite tricks possible, invented by the end user.

Easy to learn, hard to master.

Poppuck was created through lots of brainstorming, prototype user studies with kids, and many iterations and variants to get it just right.

It was a quite a challenge to embed magnets into the right geometry to have the game behave controllably and predictably, while withstanding environmental requirements like being stepped on, or preventing swallowing.

It took many iterations to arrive at the right amount of arms and legs, and the deceptively simple form was iterated and tweaked until it looked ‘just right’

POPCASE for iPhone

The POPCASE is a unique design that itegrates an ‘eggcrate’ geometry that protects the iPhone.

PopSockets has an ever-growing selection of designs available, literally hundred upon hundreds. There are metal enamel ones, ones that are snow globes, pressed flowers, and piles of licensed ones from the likes of Disney, Marvel, Coca-Cola, and more.

TIK TOK MOUNT

Letting users imagination decide how to mount their phone opened up unlimited fun. The design team overcame geometry challenges enabling the mount to grip in various situations, and also intuitively feel solidly attached to the phone.

As it slides, it can sit in the center and be used to prop up the phone up horizontally — for watching movies or playing games as a couple examples — or slid to the bottom and used to prop the phone up vertically. When vertical, it makes a handy stand to see your phone, record a video, capture a selfie, or make a video call.
